Aurielle Jioya has a Bachelor in Fine Art from Concordia University and graduated from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in Montreal. She has been passionate about cinema since she was very young. She was the head programmer at Vue D'Afrique African and Pan african film festival in Canada, and also programmer at the Toronto international film Festival. She founded Wrapped in Blue and then Jioya Production where she produce and direct commercial and creative projects. Her filmography explores the notions of cultural diversity in the era of globalization, an aspect that she deepens because of her Beninese origins and her numerous travels. Aurielle explores storytelling through documentary, fiction and art video.
